The Lamongan Regency Government, in collaboration with Kusuma Academy

Lamongan, June 25, 2025 – The Lamongan Regency Government, in collaboration with Kusuma Academy, continues to affirm its strong commitment to building a sustainable and competitive entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through its flagship program, “Megilan Entrepreneur” (Megpreneur), the initiative aims to nurture young entrepreneurs who are not only visionary but also resilient, adaptive, and equipped with comprehensive business strategies.

As a response to the dynamics of the modern business landscape, Megpreneur integrates online and offline mentoring to deliver a holistic incubation model. Since its launch in 2022, the program has successfully produced around 480 emerging entrepreneurs in key sectors such as culinary, agribusiness, creative economy, and digital industries.

Strong Enthusiasm from Young Entrepreneurs Across Districts

In 2025, Megpreneur recorded 295 registrants representing diverse business fields and districts across Lamongan Regency, reflecting the growing entrepreneurial spirit among local youth. Among these, Lamongan District (44 participants) and Paciran District (37 participants) registered the highest numbers, followed by Pucuk and Turi Districts. This broad participation underscores the widespread enthusiasm for entrepreneurship across the region.

Intensive Training for Selected Participants

Following a competitive online selection, 200 participants grouped into 134 teams advanced to the offline training program, held from June 23–25, 2025, at the Gadjah Mada Hall, Lamongan Regency Office. The program was officially inaugurated by the Regent of Lamongan, Mr. Yuhronur Efendi.

  1. The three-day program delivered a comprehensive curriculum covering:
  2. Business Legality – understanding permits and legal frameworks for entrepreneurship
  3. Access to Capital – exploring financing opportunities from banking institutions
  4. Marketing Strategies – mastering digital and conventional marketing approaches
  5. Product Innovation – developing creative and competitive product concepts
  6. Practitioner Mentoring – learning from the experiences of established entrepreneurs

Key speakers included Dr. Kurniawan Muhammad, Founder of Kusuma Academy and President Commissioner of Kusuma Corp, who shared insights on entrepreneurial leadership. Complementing his session, Muhammad Shindid Maulana, CEO of Kusuma Academy and Director of Kusuma Corp, together with Yoga Abi Zakaria, COO of Kusuma Academy, provided practical and technical business guidance.

On this occasion, Regent Yuhronur Efendi highlighted the importance of character alongside business strategy. “Mastering strategy alone is not enough; strong character is equally important in entrepreneurship,” he emphasized.

Government Commitment and Tangible Impact

The training culminated in a pitching session, where participants presented their business concepts, market strategies, and product innovations before a panel of judges. To further support the participants, a UMKM Bazaar was organized, enabling them to showcase products, engage with visitors, and gain valuable market feedback.

As a form of tangible commitment, the Lamongan Regency Government prepared capital facilitation for the top 15 teams, while also integrating participants into the local development database to ensure continuous mentoring and government-backed support.

Strategic Collaboration for a Resilient Future

The synergy between the Lamongan Regency Government and Kusuma Academy positions Megpreneur not merely as a training program but as a strategic initiative to cultivate a generation of innovative and globally competitive entrepreneurs. Moving forward, this collaboration is expected to serve as a key driver of the creative economy, reinforcing Lamongan’s reputation as a region with a robust and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
